An extremely peaceful visit to one of my favorite places in Paris, Le Jardin du Luxembourg. Spent the day studying and running errands and what not, but it was still great :)

Chocolate crouistillant tarte. So good!!!! :)

A close-up of the tarte! The chocolate was really good. The tarte was very actually standard, except a noticable better quality chocolate and crust. It was layered with a praline chocolate disk and then a rice crisp or whatever that was…It was a bit too chocolatey for me, since I’m not an avid chocolate fan, but I still thought it was really good!

Some meringue praline something…was really really good!

Inside. You can see the crispy bottom which I believe is feuilletine, a crispy rice kind of layer, layered with a light cream and all surrounded by a nice meringue. It wasn’t too chewy or anything, it was enough meringue to tolerate! Really really good! I loved the difference in textures. It kept the whole dessert interesting. The taste was just very standard cream tasting, though.

Chocolate and Fig macaron! It was a bit too sweet for me. Chocolate and fig? They are two very strong flavors, and although they do mesh well together, I would have preferred something lighter to match either one of the flavors so it would not be so sweet and strong.

As most chocolate and chocolate filling macarons are, it was pretty dense. I do appreciate a dense macaron once in a while, but I prefer the lighter for fluffy and whipped ones. Also, chocolate is not my favorite.

The regular chocolate macaron. Yum yum! This was a lot lighter, as you can see in the picture. I don’t know why people were so crazy about the chocolate and fig one, because I thought the regular chocolate was so much better. Look at those flakes on the shell of the macaron! MWUAH!!!!! <3

Inside a Bombas……SO AMAZING. It’s a big batter-fried potato ball with meat (Sausage meat?) in the middle, topped with mayonnaise and hot sauce. UGHHHHh I dream of this stuff.

Chorizo in a white wine sauce….this was so amazing. It was spicy, and the slightest bit tart from the white wine..so goood!!!!!!

Garlic butter shrimp….SO GOOD. It was buttery and spicy…a little cajun-y. SO GOOD!

It was so plump and juicy..when you first take a bite, you can feel the incredible crust. It was crisper than any crust I’ve ever had, charred enough to give it that smokiness, and thin enough to not matter that it’s crisp. The rest of the steak was flavorful and incredibly juicy. Although, I wouldn’t say it was the best steak, it was still incredible. Best I’ve probably had, but I know there is better out there…:p

Milan was actually not that awesome, but I think that the Duomo Cathedrale is actually one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my whole life..

My first Italian food experience! It was Saffron Risotto…I think either the restaurant was just aiite or Milan doesn’t have awesome food….meh?

We found a Sicilian food stand while walking. Everything was fried and delicious looking! We got a Sfogialiatelle (spelling prob wrong..) and a pizza and an Arancini which is basically a fried risotto ball..NOMZZZZ

Okay, geek moment, 2 things this reminds me of: 1) Legend of Zelda Hyrule Castle gate bridge….I know there’s no water here, but still…2) Super Mario 64 castle gate bridge…yep..Ya know where you go down and then jump up and go WAHOO!

Anyway, that was basically all of Milan..very short, but I have more to update on Venice and all the other cities..! Bear with me!

In short, Milan wasn’t all that great, but I would definitely make the trip just to see the Duomo…..so so breathtaking.

It’s my hope, it’s my fear, it’s my dreams, all my tears…..I can’t express how much I love this song..I just could not NOT add it! How on earth can this NOT be one of my Paris theme songs?!

Anyway, this is probably the last Kaskade song I’ll add for now because I think we need to start seeing some variety…just had to put this one because it wasn’t an option not to…hehehe

I guess in a way it’s my new beginning…being in a new country all by myself. Starting again. Even though it’s coming to an end, it’s definitely changed my life, and this song definitely carried me throughout the whole experience.
